We also provide safe compassionate care for adults. We understand the importance of continuity and familiarity for our service users and their families. We can work with them to ensure a smooth transition to adulthood focussing on life skills and enablement where appropriate to maximise the opportunities for independence.
We recognise the value of a rich and varied routine with meaningful activities when opportunities for education cease.
We can continue to provide care and support for existing service users in their adult years and we are happy to accept new referrals from adult service users and their families.
Our management team, includes Registered General Nurses and a Registered Learning Disability Nurse who all have experience of caring for adults with complex care needs and are therefore well placed to ensure that the training and support needs of the Carers and Support Workers in our adult team are met.
We can provide safe, compassionate care for adults with complex physical and/or learning disability and we are able to provide expertly trained carers for individuals with the following conditions:
• Cerebral palsy.
• Acquired brain injury.
• Spinal cord injury.
• Neurological conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis, Motor Neurone Disease, Parkinson’s Disease and Huntington’s Disease.
• Mild, moderate and severe learning disabilities.
We adopt the same highly personalised approach, working closely with families and service users to ensure a care package that is tailored to their requirements with care staff who are properly trained to understand their condition and who are committed delivering excellent care.
